Five questions for... Wim de Wit

In his years heading the Department of Architecture at the Getty, Wim de Wit acquired the archives from a number of architects who built noteworthy houses either for themselves or for intelligent clients. He is perfectly qualified, then, to set the scene for us in a lecture entitled 'The origin of the Modern House in Southern California’, at our conference at the Getty Center in February 2016.

Welcome Casa Luis Barragán

We are thrilled to announce that the Unesco-listed house of Luis Barragán in Mexico City has teamed up with us. It joins Cuadra San Cristobal and the Frida Kahlo Museum to become our third Mexican member. We hope this will strengthen our bond with Central and South America. Five questions for... Linda Dishman

Linda Dishman has led the Los Angeles Conservancy, a non-profit organisation dedicated to preserving historic places throughout LA County, for 20 years. With over 6,000 members, it is the USA’s largest group of its kind. Linda will be a speaker at our conference at the Getty Center in February 2016 and shares with us one of her prime concerns: LA's 'mansionization'.
