Exclusive Live Tours for Iconic Houses Donors!
To keep up morale and recreate the excitement of travel, we are visiting a member house every other week in a unique series of live-streamed tours. These exclusive live tours are for our top-tier donors. Not a donor? Later on, recordings of these special visits will be available to view on our website for a smaller contribution!

This month, we welcome the wonderful Mies van der Rohe Haus in Berlin, designed in 1933 as Landhaus Lemke. We are proud to count this important house as a member of our network - joining the other Mies highlights: Villa Tugendhat in Brno, the Farnsworth House in Plano, Illinois, and Haus Lange and Haus Esters in Krefeld.

Wherever you are in the world, and whatever the pandemic circumstances, you can always travel the houses from the comfort of your own home. Enjoy!

Note: Plan any physical visits well in advance, as house museums can have irregular visiting times and coronavirus guidelines often require online reservation.
Welcome Mies van der Rohe Haus in Berlin!
Ludwig Mies van der Rohe, one of the most important architects of the 20th century, was the director of the Bauhaus when this private home was designed and built. It was his last project before emigrating to America in 1938. Shaded red brick creates a refined surface that is beautiful and lively. A minimum of materials produce maximum quality - or, in Mies's own words: "It is important not to confuse simple with simplistic."

ICON AT RISK - Forrest-Baker House by Ron Thom
The striking Forrest-Baker House radiates the creativity and elegance of mid-century design in West Vancouver, Canada. Adopt an Icon at Risk - PLEASE DONATE
Thanks to your donations, we can add new listings to our Icons at Risk Watch List. Worldwide, we have researched circa 30 houses and we need your support to publish them. The Iconic Houses Foundation, like many non-profits, is in a precarious position due to Covid-19. Please donate to help us continue putting these houses in the spotlight to (hopefully) save them from demolition.
