| Welcome Maison Cazenave by Hans Demarmels! | Maison Cazenave (1967) overlooks the softly sloping hills of Nouvelle Aquitaine in France, with a view of the Pyrenees mountains. Built by Swiss architect Hans Demarmels (1931-2010) for the Cazenave family, the house seamlessly connects indoor and outdoor living. It was designed around a huge open fireplace including various custom-made built-in seating areas.

| Goodbye Nakagin Capsule Tower | The demolition of Tokyo's Nakagin Capsule Tower is now a sad fact. This iconic Japanese housing block designed by Kisho Kurokawa in the early 1970s is being demolished due to the decay of its concrete and steel structure. Its interiors are in the process of being emptied out in preparation for asbestos removal, after which the building will be completely disassembled.
