FASHION FROM AND FOR ALL & PATTERNS AGAINST WORKERS
Talk and film screening by Tanveer Ahmed and Olena Newkryta
@ Warehouse, Amsterdam
Starting from 20:30

In this talk, Tanveer Ahmed will explore how making fashion a space in which all humans flourish regardless of race, ethnicity, ability, gender, class or sexual orientation, requires a process of making colonial logic visible and learning from those who have challenged societal oppression.

'Patterns Against Workers' delves deep into the fabrics of technological infrastructures that determine contemporary conditions of labour. Tirelessly swiping and scrolling through archival documents, images and patterns, the short film interweaves the economic, political, and engineering forces, which manifest in the operating systems of our glowing screens.

@ Garage M, Schiedam
Open everyday during the Design Biennale Rotterdam from 10:00 till 17:00

A Dinner is Served is a semi-performative gesamtkunstwerk created by a collective of artists in a garage-turned-kitchen curated by Anna Aagaard Jensen. Mutated objects and chimeric forms evoke an eerie atmosphere, blending the familiar with the surreal. The pieces explore themes of transformation, connected by uncanny echoes of dining. Two activations will transform the space into a living dialogue between art, mystery, and participation, offering fresh perspectives on re-enchantment.

IF THIS HAPPENS, THEN THAT HAPPENS
Exhibition by Stella Sterk
@ Plan B, Amsterdam

For three weeks they have been in Plan B. They moved all of their things in quite quickly. Most of it is trash. Things that they found on the street. They go around every evening, every night a different neighbourhood, looking for things that interesses them. There is always a story somewhere. Who was the owner of this thing? Why did they throw it away? Why do I have it now?

NOIRES IN AFROTOPOS
Exhibition by Roxane Mbanga

Roxane weaves narratives that deconstruct stereotypes of black bodies by exploring the relationship between the intimate body and the perceived body, experienced as a social receptacle for the projections and fantasies of others. She collects and archives the stories of women with multiple identities, which she then transcribes into her films. From scent to color, her immersive multimedia installations awaken the senses and offer a space for reflection on identity and corporeality.

RE:FWD: A REPLY TO THE PRESENT, A FORWARD TO US ALL
Groupexhibition with a.o. Simon Pillaud
@ Kunsthal, Rotterdam

Through installations, soundscapes, paintings, textile art and sculptures, the artists explore and celebrate small and great hope. They look critically at the past and the present and speculate about what could be there. Under the motto – 'without consciousness no foundation is formed and no one can live in an air castle' – they investigate what it means to shape a future based on mourning, resilience and possibilities.

CLUE. MIRROR FACADE.
RietveldTV by Eunkyo Kang

Clue. Mirror. Facade. comments on the role of mediation that constantly vibrates our reality, while also exploring the act of 'belief', as both truth and lies emerge from the interaction between the two. As they navigate through layers, they are left to wonder if truth itself can ever be fully grasped, or if it is simply a reflection of what they choose to see.

MARCH & ROCK
Book by Maarten Rots

Maarten converted a selection of his photographs into monotones, colouring the entire image either cyan, magenta or yellow, the three colours used in offset printing. Printing these images on translucent materials like tracing paper and overhead sheets, made the visual physical and facilitated a playful process, providing the basis for the 36th edition of March & Rock, titled Tetrachromatic superimpositions.
