MOTHER'S SHOES
Exhibition by Lily Lanfermeijer
@ Gallery van Fanny Freytag, Amsterdam

Stepping into the exhibition Mother’s Shoes means entering a slower rhythm. The space is shaped around attention, tactility, and the small rituals that guide how we relate to our surroundings. Surfaces shift under your feet; light changes the atmosphere, textures invite a different kind of looking.
The works bring together clay, print, and spatial gestures to explore how thinking can become physical. Ideas are not presented as conclusions but as materials; malleable, repeated, reconsidered. Ceramic Thinking Hats inspired by Edward de Bono’s framework appear throughout the space, reimagined in clay.

SOIL WORKS
Exhibition by Elena Khurtova
@ Kunstwerk Kolderveen, Nijeveen

Through her ongoing research Khurtova has been exploring processes of soil displacement, researching soil management sites — the grondbanken, where excavated soils are temporarily stored, classified and redistributed. Under EU legislation excavated soil of more than 50 m3 is considered waste. On these physical sites, concrete-block walls are used to temporarily host and separate piles of soil: soils are cared for and contained. By juxtaposing notions of automation and intimacy, waste and kinship, containment and resistance, Khurtova investigates the ambiguity of control and care in human relations with soil.

ARCHIVE DES BEGEHRENS
Exhibition with a.o. Romy Yedidia
@ Galerie für Gegenwartskunst, E-Werk Freiburg, Germany

The exhibition Archive des Begehrens explores waste not merely as a residue of capitalism, but as a driving force within it. The participating artists transform discarded materials and draw on the appealing aesthetic of consumer goods to examine desire as the engine behind production and consumption. Rather than idealizing nature or demonizing waste, the works center the question of desire—what fuels it, and how it shapes our systems.

THE FAMILIAR
Exhibition by David Wasch

From 12:30 till 19:00

During Davids residency at De Vindplaats, he investigates together with the children what home can mean. For some it is a place or room, for others a language, a memory or a feeling. Through the children's stories and images, the project grows as a living whole: it changes, tilts and always takes on new forms.
