Anastasija Pirozenko is an audio-visual artist and filmmaker currently based in Amsterdam. Her artistic practice spans film, video installations, and photography. In her work, Anastasija explores the concepts of belonging, community, and utopia. Anastasija's films have been shown at international film festivals as well as art events, including Visions du Reel, Int. Short Film Festival Oberhausen, and VideoEX - Experimental Film & Video Festival.
God’s Eaters (2013) is a creative documentary that closely observes a tradition of sharing a meal in a small Orthodox Church. The film uses natural light, to create rather pompous and slightly cliché looking scenes. However, these pompous images seem to naturally fit into the Orthodox Church environment. The film explores notions of holiness and secularity.
Konstantin Guz is Russian born Amsterdam based artist. His current artistic practice is multidisciplinary. It uses his solid understanding of photography as a base to experiment with different mediums such as video, sound and found objects. These various formats are also tied together through the concept of their installation in space, in both a practical and theoretical sense.
Untitled experiment with no image (2017)
"Untitled experiment with no image" aims to explore the boundaries of contemporary photography. In opposition to physical reality, where the presence of light is vital to experience transparency, in the virtual environment it is a functional imitation.
What can we call the transparent layer if we still are able to see it but not what is behind it? Does it carry the assumed function of "looking through”?
Those correlations between the virtual appearance and physical existence are leading themes of this examination.
Timna Tomiša (b.1994) is a Zagreb-born, Amsterdam-raised film-maker and a visual artist.
In her campy and comical films she depicts surreal, topsy-turvy, absurd, almost synthetic worlds that run on their own inherent, idiosyncratic logic whilst almost secretively pointing towards phenomena that occurs in the so-called ‘real world’.
lowkolos (Mert Gençer) is an Amsterdam based artist and producer working in the field of electronic/electro-acoustic music and audiovisual experiences. in his musical output, he aims to create a fusion between electronic music and electro-acoustic music by using sound design elements and a narrative texture. he also attempts to bring some novelty to music by breaking the recurrent composition methods ruled by grids and metric measurements.
Visual artist and filmmaker based in Amsterdam. She interested in creating alternative realities and mythologies. Using the genre of documentary as a basis for her work in order to touch the body of ‘reality’, She complements and extends it with her fantasies and dreams.
Who can be happy and free? (2014)
Road movie. Experimental documentary.
The film is inspired by the poem of the 19th century written by Nikolay Nekrasov.
Nekrasov started writing “Who is happy and free in Russia” straight after the serfdom abolition in Russia in 1863 and was working on it for 14 years.
The poem tells the story of seven free men, and their travels on a long journey all over Russia, trying to answer the question:
who is happy and free?
In the 21st century those seven free men are coming back to the same road in the search for happiness, but in the context of contemporary Russia.
Roman Ermolaev (1991, Saint-Petersburg) lives and works in Amsterdam.
He obtained a degree at the Rietveld Academy and won the Researchlabs award for the best audiovisual work at Eye Filmmuseum in 2017. He creates moving image works such as films, animations and photography/drawing based projects informed by historical references, cinematographic language and performative elements of theatre.
GOYA (2019) is a video work made in collaboration with Giuseppe Doronzo.
Mariia Ponomarova is a Ukrainian film director and creative producer based in Amsterdam. Mariia works both with fiction and documentary exploring the character development in cinematic structures. “Four Extra” is her first experimental work that was produced in the context of Experimental film workshop of FUFF (Estonia).
Fabian Landewee is a visual artist based in Amsterdam.
He studied at the Academy of Fine Arts, Maastricht and recently received a master of arts degree in Media Design (Lens-based media) at the Piet Zwart Institute, Rotterdam. Fabian's practice focuses on the image as object and photographic production. Expanding this to his fields of interest, the (im)possible representation of LGBTQ+ people is one of his main subjects; with recurring themes like vulnerability and desire.
With Untitled (2017), Landewee refers to the work of the father of the American Underground (queer) Cinema, Kenneth Anger (1927) and Henri Clouzout’s never finished film Inferno (1964).
In Untitled, actor Nicolas Fransiscus blissfully pours a glass of water while ecstatically laughing throughout the film. The cross-cutting is accompanied by a soundtrack consisting out of converted sound waves created by NASA, which translates the radio emissions from Uranus. Taking Landewee’s photographic background into account, Landewee's aim with this film was to visualize his research into queer cinema and to create a cinematic language of his own.
Bernhard Hollinger is a musician, composer and visual artist, based in Berlin. He spent the early years of his career in Amsterdam, New Orleans, New York, Leipzig, Santiago de Chile and Sao Paolo. His experiments in sound and visuals blur the lines between music, art and science and focus on interdisciplinary multi-media-art and Jazz & Pop-culture.

Susanna Brenner started as a goldsmith in Germany before she began studying Time-based Arts at the Gerrit Rietveld Academie, Amsterdam and Fine Arts at the Piet Zwart Institute, Rotterdam. Her work is multidisciplinary, it involves video, soundscapes, objects, and drawings. In 2004 her love affair with soundscapes started and she has been collecting everything audible since then; besides researching old, known and forgotten rituals, archiving anxieties, building transformation portals, de/constructing halos, actively welcoming and letting go, locating the silent sounds, and getting tangled up in the magical webs of DaemonEaters.
The Liaison (2017
Synopsis:
KORE (Persephone) is the wife of #Hades, God of the Underworld.
After being abducted by him, Zeus and her mother, Demeter, agreed Kore could live on Earth for six months each year, while spending the rest of the time on Hades' side in the Underworld.
Every winter, Hades sends someone, a liaison, to summon Kore back.
This time, a game of trust and lust is built between her and the liaison against the backdrop of the ruins of modern Athens.
Their eerie journey leads to a lake that stands as the entrance to the Underworld.
Anya Alekhina was born in Kaliningrad, a unique Russian city, which is separated from the motherland, and located in Europe. After completing her undergraduate degree in journalism in Moscow, she worked as a film editor for eight years. In 2013 she created her own production company, where she worked as a producer in order to be able to hire herself as a director. She now lives and works in New York City, where she is a graduate thesis candidate and adjunct faculty at NYU Tisch School of the Arts.
Fully recognizing the irony that entertainment is its own form of escapism, her films explore themes of modern isolation and question social norms. They emphasize spiritual experience over the mundane.
Her work has been recognized by the Steven J.Ross Fellowship, the Volker Bahnemann award for Outstanding Cinematography, and at festivals around the world. Her most recent short film, currently in post-production, was filmed in Kenya in collaboration with Cinemademare Africa.
Basile Monsacré aka Egregore is Paris born/Berlin-based music producer. From ambient rituals to techno gnosis, Egregore experiments in-between dimensions and explores the unknown. Between chaos and harmony, the dream is lucid and the drumming heavy." Egregore grew up in a classical music background and completed a mixed-media art education in Amsterdam. Interested in bridging different co-existing narratives into one channel of awareness, Basile Monsacré is curious about how subjective realities affect collective behaviors and the search for our selves.
Maria Pleshkova (b. 1986) is a multidisciplinary artist working in photography, video and performance. Based in Moscow. Pleshkova’s life and art are inseparably connected. She lives her life through her art, making intimate and self-revealing projects. Her projects deal with such themes as love, sexuality, solitude, pain, dreams, death, and mysticism.
LIMBO (2019)
This film is an attempt to escape from the dictatorship of the daily routine and to go deep into the oneiric space. The inner world and the outer world are juxtaposed, and the inner world seems to be more real. “LIMBO” is shot on a smartphone on purpose. Normally, a smartphone is used to communicate with the outer world, but in this case it was used to explore the inner world.
Sonia Kazovsky is artist and researcher based in Amsterdam. For the last year, her studio was situated at home so her lifestyle did change much with the restrictions posed by Corona. Nowadays she spends more time talking on the phone and supporting friends who feel claustrophobic.
The work submitted was made in 2017, as a way to think of ‘outside’ of Capitalism. At this current moment, the work became either completely irrelevant or can provide an intellectual stimuli to think through speed, movement and the act of slowing down.

Thom Driver is an artist and musician based between Amsterdam and London. He graduated in 2018 from the Master of Voice program at Sandberg Instituut. His practice explores the complexities and possible futures of language and voice. These explorations are in the form of expanded ‘songs’, consisting of audio, video, performance and drawings in which emotion, humor, and surreal imagery are foregrounded. He is interested in how power is enabled by language and how is it concealed in the boundaries, contradictions, and connections between language and other kinds of communication.
Swarm is an ongoing project, started 2018, which consists of an ever-growing number of untitled drawings on the A5 card. Together they form a single, mutable ‘mass drawing’ which can be shown in any configuration, with any number of elements present. The drawings are made quickly, on instinct, usually a few each week. The result is an ever-changing portrait of consciousness and a visual representation of unvoiceable interior language.
Maia Elisabeth Sørensen (DK) is a dance filmmaker based in Amsterdam. She has a background as a dancer and choreographer but has worked with the film medium since her graduation from the Martha Graham School of Contemporary Dance (NY) in 2007. Her films tell stories through movement, both as a visual aspect in front of the camera and as a tool for the camera, editing, and sound. In her current practice, she works with the documentary genre, where she portrays individuals through their body language and movements.
SATELLIT (2013)
Synopsis:
Three colorful characters attempt to communicate with each other across time and space. It doesn’t always work out because sometimes there’s noise on the line, and sometimes things go wrong. But the movement forms a choreography in the end.
Satellit was originally a reflection over my own feeling of mental isolation. The three characters are placed alone in three different locations, their own inner universes, and from there they try to reach and understand each other.
However, seen in the light of today the film seems to almost mimic our social distancing and isolation.
The film premiered in the Danish Cinemateque in 2013 and won "Best Experiment" at the Ekko Shortlist Awards in 2014.
Rebekka Nilsson (1988, Norway) is a Norwegian/Danish theatre director and artist, with a background in acting, physical theatre, and music. She recently graduated from the Academy of Theatre and Dance (AHK) in Amsterdam.

Filipp Luzin is an emerging artist and designer born in Moscow, Russia in 1997.
He currently based in Amsterdam where he studies at Design Lab of
Rietveld Academy and to be graduated 2020.

"Creative practices have become a getaway from reality for me. While my peers were
playing computer games, I found peace in drawings. Slowly it became a ritual.
When I look at my drawings, I flip them upside down and examine from different angles.
My inspiration comes from the psychedelic culture, the duality world ideas, and interest in
the psychic powers of the human brain"

Joachim Wespel or just Jo is a guitar player, composer, producer, researcher, tutor, thinker, (festival) organizer, post-contemporary, subcultural creator, feminist, traveler, passionated laugher and privileged inhabitant of planet earth.
Besides his four projects: Zur Schönen Aussicht, Sinularia, Beatdenker and Subwater Beats Collective (SURfF Festival, Kulturrabazzz Festival) a fifth emerged: The - offline // online - „Recursive Rhythm Get-Together“, an open community of highly professional and international musicians in Berlin. Fundament is his „Speculative Multiple Dimensions Concept“, a post-contemporary system for complex(istic) rhythmic and intervallic improvisation and composition.
Styrmir’s work is not meant to fall into one particular category, he has practiced performance art, breakdancing and rap/singing, done drawings, written fiction, created sculptures and directed. The art forms all come together in stories which epitomise his creations. The stories slowly develop from one thing to another; a drawing on paper can evolve into music or a sculpture which then becomes the start of a performance.
Organ Orchestra
(2018 - ongoing)
In his work Organ Orchestra, Styrmir has created a series of clay sculptures, each of which takes its shape from a known organ. These are lungs, liver, brain, stomach; key organs that keep us alive. We know these forms which reside within us, we can feel them but most of us have not seen them. Styrmir has chosen these organs because of their shape and their qualities, here they act as instruments. The stomach is an Udu drum, the liver a flute, the lungs are Aztec death whistles and the brain is a synthesizer that creates sounds from electric waves. Just as each organ has a particular and singular role in the body, they get a new and specific role in Styrmir’s Organ Orchestra. They remind us that none of them can function without the others, they are joined by an unbreakable bond in a machine without any spare parts.
Anna Malgina was born in Sochi in 1989. She is a graduate specialist in film studies and a Master of Arts. Initially, Anna addresses the issues of film history aesthetics and cinematographic touch in photography. Currently, Anna has expanded her interests, artistically considering topics of alternative scenarios of the past, memories by using archives and analog photography. Since she moved to Italy she is developing migration and adaptation topics.
Anna lives and works in Pordenone (Italy).
A struggle
The current project was inspired by the preoccupation of being a migrant and about changing the house of living and the integration. Photography is a result of a relationship and a way to relate. By raking up and constructing a house where I live, by searching through the archives and shelves, by using photography, all forms of photography, I construct my house in an unreal fiction world and use it as evidence for reality. Unsuccessfully.
Visual and digital performance artist based in Frankfurt. Besides traditional forms, she uses social media to fight against established systems, stereotypes, and conservatism. With themes such as exploring current social issues, differences between Western and Eastern cultures, and searching for identity, her work shows familiar visual images and interacts with the audience.
#100DaysofQuestions
The Instagram project “#100DaysofQuestions” deals with the current problems of the modern generation. It lasted more than nine months and was Installation consisting of 100 photos printed on acrylic glass in the form of a smartphone, presented.
For the project, Instagram became an open platform where participants could express their thoughts and feelings which are normally not expressed because of the fear of an open reaction. Every user of a social network could send me his photo and a question for discussion, to be posted on my Instagram account to be published.
The project uses photos of the human body and questions social issues written on the skin. The words are written on different parts of the body are depicted, whereby these are mostly personal stories or problems of people. So the Participants of the project willing to discuss current stereotypes discuss.
The project is bilingual and its documentation can be viewed on the Instagram platform.
