Althuis Hofland Fine Arts is proud to present the second solo exhibition of artist David Noro (1993, DK)

Noro’s new body of work takes a look at different vices and the consequences of these within society. In these paintings, painted and collaged characters indulge in their narratives, some seem to gaze around engaged while others appear dazed as they commence in their clandestine activities. morphing objects and figures appear both abstract and figurative: Sets of eyes, Revolvers, Bambi, Saints, Chameleons. There is a strange focus on the multitude of emotional levels within these situations pointing both to the positive and negative sides of a modern life in an urban setting. In general Noro translates biographical thoughts and encounters into a painted patchwork of colours.

Coming up is a solo exhibition at PTT space in Taipei, Taiwan in October 2022 and a group exhibition ‘Narrative minds’ at Asia Art Center in Taipei, Taiwan

David Noro (1993) lives and works in Copenhagen. In 2019 he graduated from the Gerrit Rietveld Academy in Amsterdam.
