De tentoonstelling
Deze tentoonstelling toont het werk van de Russische kunstenaar Vadim
Brodsky uit de LS Collectie Van Abbemuseum. Brodsky, geboren in 1945 in St.
Petersburg, is opgeleid in de beste instituten en onder de beste leraren van de
Sovjet-Unie in het vak grafische kunsten. Hij is een meester van de lijn en
weet in enkele streken een beeld neer te zetten dat trefzeker de atmosfeer van
het onderwerp weergeeft. Bij de tentoonstelling verschijnt de Duitstalige
catalogus “Vadim Brodsky. Gesichter der Bücher”.
De LS Collectie
De verzamelaars Albert Lemmens en Serge
Stommels schonken in 2012 hun collectie aan het museum. Deze collectie,
bestaande uit 15.000 boeken, bevindt zich in de bibliotheekverzameling. De LS
collectie bestrijkt de geschiedenis van de Russische kunst binnen en buiten
Rusland en de Sovjet-Unie vanaf 1914 tot heden.
De tentoonstelling is te bezoeken van 19.02 tot en met 03.05.2019. |

| | Opening libarary exhibition 'Vadim Brodsky: Faces of books' | We cordially invite you to the opening of Vadim Brodsky: Faces of books on Sunday February 17th, between 15.00 and 17.00 in the library of the Van Abbemuseum.
The exhibition
This exhibition shows the work of the Russian artist Vadim Brodsky from
the LS Collection Van Abbemuseum. Brodsky, born in 1945 in St. Petersburg, was
educated in the best institutions and among the best teachers of the Sovjet
Union in the graphic arts. He brilliantly plays with the line and knows how to
create an image with a simple movement of his hand. He tackles the atmosphere
of his subject in a virtuoso manner. Accompanying the exhibition is a German-language catalog "Vadim Brodsky.
Gesichter der Bücher".
The LS Collection
Collectors Albert Lemmens and Serge Stommels donated their collection to the museum in 2012. This collection, consisting of 15,000 books, is in the library collection. The LS collection covers the history of Russian art inside and outside of Russia and the Soviet Union from 1914 to the present.
The exhibition can be visited from 19.02 until 03.05.2019
