 | | Studio Van Abbemuseum | | Stadsastronauten | | 7 februari 2019 | In de ruimte worden astronauten overvallen door liefde voor de kleine blauwe planeet. En waar je van houdt, dat wil je beschermen. We moeten uitzoomen, zeggen de ruimtevaarders. Zien wat we zijn en wat we te verliezen hebben geeft ons een nieuw perspectief.
De Academie van Stadsastronauten, opgericht door theatermaakster Marjolein van Heemstra en toekomstbureau Monnik, onderzoekt hoe wij stadsbewoners ook toegang kunnen krijgen tot dit perspectief. In
een theatervoorstelling neemt ze ons mee in die zoektocht. Op 7 februari is de
voorstelling te zien in het Van Abbemuseum, op uitnodiging van het museum en de
Groene Gasten.

GROENE GASTEN / WERKSALON
Deze avond is de derde avond georganiseerd met de Groene Gasten rondom klimaatverandering. De Groene Gasten bestaat uit een groep betrokken Eindhovenaren met hart voor duurzaamheid. Zij werken samen met ons binnen De Werksalon; een programma waarin groepen uit Eindhoven zijn uitgenodigd een relevant maatschappelijk thema te bespreken en verhalen daaromheen toe te voegen aan tentoonstelling en programmering in het museum. Ook op 4 april en 6 juni organiseren de Groene Gasten een event in het museum, houd deze data dus alvast vrij!

| | City Astronauts | | 7 February 2019 | Astronauts in space are often overwhelmed by love for the ‘little blue
planet’. And if you love something, you want to protect it. We need to zoom
out, is what space captains say. Seeing what we are and what we could lose
shows us a new perspective.
The Academy of City Astronauts is founded by theatre producer Marjolein van
Heemstra and Monnik, studio for futures & fiction, is looking for ways to
bring the astronaut’s perspective to citizens. In a theatrical presentation on
7 February they take you along in this journey. The Academy of City Astronauts
was invited by the museum and ‘Groene Gasten’.

GROENE GASTEN / WERKSALON
This is the third event organised by a group of Eindhoven citizens around the
theme of climate change. The Groene Gasten are people in the city concerned
with global warming, energy transition and all climate related issues. They
work with the museum as one of the groups in the Werksalon, where we extract
stories and themes from different people and add them to the collection
presentation. If you are interested in this groups’ activities, note 4 April
and 6 June in your agenda; these Thursday evenings will also be programmed with
their events. |
