Designed in 1948 by Marcel Breuer for the Museum of Modern Art’s 'House in the Museum Garden' exhibition of 1949, the house drew a record number of visitors and is regarded as one of MoMA’s most influential architecture exhibitions of the twentieth century.The House was Breuer's vision of how the average American family could live in a well-designed, modern, expandable, and affordable home.
