Welcome Prairie House by Herb Greene!
Designed and built in 1960-61 by architect Herb Greene in Norman, Oklahoma, this iconic landmark is a vision of the American School, a term Frank Lloyd Wright used to describe organic architectural structures that embody their surroundings in form and function. Cedar planks on the exterior create wonderful patterns and shape, and the interior, which is full of movement and flow, uses cedar shake shingles throughout.

Palaces for the People - Model Home in Het Schip
In a new series of articles Natascha Drabbe takes us to the most iconic houses of the 20th century. If one thing revolutionized interiors in the Netherlands in the 1920s, it was the need to build more homes for the working class. A world-famous example of this is the residential block Het Schip in Amsterdam. This 'workers' palace' was designed by architect Michel de Klerk in the style of the Amsterdam School.
