Het Van
Abbemuseum nodigt je van harte uit voor de officiële
opening van de
tentoonstelling Dwarsverbinding: Kabakov
Kabinet op
zaterdag 1 juli 2023.
Het Van Abbemuseum heeft onlangs het
grafisch werk van Ilja en Emilia Kabakov aangekocht: een collectie van meer dan
tachtig werken. Om deze aankoop te vieren, presenteren we de tentoonstelling Dwarsverbinding: Kabakov
Kabinet, in één
van de zalen in het nieuwe gedeelte van het museum. Een selectie van de recent verworven
werken stellen we in breder verband tentoon; samen met een aantal schilderijen
en sculpturen van de Kabakovs.
Programma:
14:15 – Inloop bij het auditorium
14:30 – Welkomstwoord in het auditorium door Charles Esche (directeur Van Abbemuseum) en Steven ten Thije (Hoofd Collecties Van Abbemuseum)
14.45 – Gesprek van Emilia Kabakov met gastcurator Willem Jan Renders in het auditorium
15:30 – Gelegenheid om de tentoonstelling te bezoeken
16:30 tot 18:00 – Borrel in Karel 1 Museumcafé

you to the official opening of the exhibition Relinking: Kabakov Cabinet on Saturday 1 July 2023.
The Van Abbemuseum recently purchased
the graphic work of Ilya and Emilia Kabakov: a collection of more than eighty
works. To celebrate this purchase, we present the exhibition Relinking:
Kabakov Cabinet, in one room of the museum. We will show a selection of the
acquired workin a broader context, together with some of Kabakovs' paintings
and sculptures.
