Commissioned by Glasgow book publisher Walter Blackie, the up-and-coming architect and his wife Margaret Mackintosh Macdonald, an established artist and interior designer, worked collaboratively to create almost everything you see at the property, from the building itself to the furniture and textiles.

| Welcome Casa Navegna! | Architecture, art and nature lovers seeking a peaceful retreat will fall in love with the spectacular setting of Casa Navegna on the Swiss-Italian border. Built in 1929 by architect Ernst Bechstein, it was the first modernist house in the region. Today, Casa Navegna is considered one of Bechstein's most important projects in the style of Neues Bauen.

| Icon at Risk - Ataköy Housing Estate in Istanbul | The Ataköy Estate in Bakırköy, Istanbul, designed and built in 1957-64, is internationally recognised as a unique and well-preserved example of modern heritage in Turkey. The whole area is now threatened by profit-driven redevelopment plans under the pretext of earthquake risk. Docomomo Turkey is calling for action with a campaign on change.org.

| Reopening an Iconic Modernist Landmark: Brick House | After 15 years, the restoration of Philip Johnson's opaque 1949 Brick House is complete. The project, undertaken by the Glass House, in partnership with the National Trust for Historic Preservation, has restored the house to its original state. The $1.8 million renovation is unveiled in time for the 75th anniversary of the Glass House, to which it is an essential foil.

| Early Corbu Furniture for La Maison Blanche | On the heights of La Chaux-de-Fonds in Switzerland, La Maison Blanche was built by Charles-Edouard Jeanneret, later Le Corbusier, for his parents. The Maison blanche Association is restoring the house to its former glory - a long journey - a step at a time. The latest step is the acquisition of furniture designed by the future Le Corbusier at the time the house was built.
