| Welcome Charnley-Persky House! | Iconic Houses focuses on 20th-century house museums, but Charnley-Persky House was completed in 1892. We chose to include it because it was designed by pioneers of modernism: in it, Sullivan and Wright abstracted classical architecture to create a new process and 'language' for buildings, paving the way for modern conventions. The house is now the global headquarters of the Society of Architectural Historians (SAH).

| Welcome Mas MirĂ³! | “All my work is conceived in Mont-roig.” Joan Miró’s work and his artistic universe can be traced back to this village in Tarragona and, more specifically, to Mas Miró and its surrounding landscape. It was here, in 1911, that Miró decided, after an illness, to devote himself entirely to painting. Mas Miró is made up of a series of buildings from different periods, ranging from the 18th to the 20th century.

| Adopt an Icon at Risk - PLEASE DONATE TODAY! | Thanks to your donations, we can add new houses to our Icons at Risk Watch List. 45 houses are already listed, but we have more houses on our radar that need research in order to be published. And we need your support for that. Please donate to help us continue putting these houses in the spotlight to hopefully save them from demolition. Your support means so much to us: Thank you!
