Vanaf morgen

Morgen opent de tentoonstelling Positions #6: Bodywork in het Van Abbemuseum. Ook deze editie van de reeks Positions bestaat uit vijf aaneengeschakelde solo’s van internationaal toonaangevende kunstenaars. Er is werk te zien van Laure Prouvost, publieklieveling tijdens de laatste biënnale in Venetië, Praneet Soi, Zach Blas, Navine G. Khan-Dossos en Ajla R. Steinvåg, die haar museale solodebuut maakt.

Vijf uiteenlopende artistieke visies

Ieder op eigen wijze laten de vijf kunstenaars in Bodywork hun licht schijnen op het menselijk lichaam. Niet zozeer als natuurlijk gegeven, maar als resultaat van de cultuur waarin het zich bevindt. Het resultaat is humoristisch, hallucinerend, klinisch en onthullend.

Gratis online rondleiding

Je bent van harte welkom om op dinsdag 8 december aan te sluiten bij een online rondleiding door curators Nick Aikens, Diana Franssen en Yolande Zoli Zola van der Heide. De Engelstalige tour door Bodywork start om 15.30 uur op het instagramkanaal van @eindhovencity en duurt ongeveer 25 minuten. Vragen stellen mag!

Virtueel bezoek

Voor iedereen die niet naar het museum kan komen bieden we vanaf eind december de mogelijkheid om Bodywork te bezoeken op onze website. Met behulp van 360-graden fotografie kun je binnenkort virtueel door de tentoonstelling navigeren. Volg het museum op instagram en blijf op de hoogte.

We doen ons uiterste best voor een veilig en prettig bezoek. Momenteel is een bezoek aan het museum alleen mogelijk met een vooraf geboekt ticket met time slot, eenmaal binnen geldt er geen eindtijd.

Tomorrow, the exhibition Positions #6: Bodywork will open in the Van Abbemuseum. This edition of the Positions series will also consist of five interconnected solo shows by internationally acclaimed artists. On display are works by Laure Prouvost, a crowd favorite during the last Venice biennale, Praneet Soi, Zach Blas, Navine G. Khan-Dossos and Ajla R. Steinvåg, who will be making her solo museum debut.

Five different artistic visions

The five artists in Bodywork each shine their light on the human body in their own distinctive way. Not so much as a natural given, but rather as the result of the culture in which our bodies operate. The result is humorous, hallucinatory, clinical and revealing.

Free online tour

You are welcome to join an online tour by curators Nick Aikens, Diana Franssen and Yolande Zoli Zola van der Heide on Tuesday December 8. The tour (in English) through Bodywork starts at 3.30 pm on the instagram channel @eindhovencity and will last approximately 25 minutes. Feel free to ask any questions you might have!

Virtual visit

For everyone who cannot physically visit the museum, we offer the opportunity to visit Bodywork on our website, from the end of December. With the help of 360-degree photography, you will soon be able to virtually navigate through the exhibition. Follow the museum on instagram for updates.
