At Unseen Amsterdam 2021, Jan Hoek (1984) will present a new series of unique photographic works in unconventional handmade frames made in collaboration with artists Tommy Smits, Stephen Tayo, Bruin Parry, Duran Lantink and Simon Marsiglia.

In his work Jan Hoek is attracted by the beauty of the outsiders worldwide and he is always keen to collaborate intensively with people that normally are overlooked and create a new image together. The photographic work presented during Unseen is work in which every frame is as much an artwork as the photo. For the frames he collaborated with the expert in this field artist Tommy Smits. Besides that he worked together with Nigerian photographer Stephen Tayo, fashion designer Duran Lantink, jewelry artist Simon Marsiglia, outsider artist Bruin Parry and many other creatives.
